Report a change

Report any change of circumstances as soon as possible. For example, if you:

• stop getting a benefit
• move house or into a care home

These changes can affect how much you’re paid.

Contact Social Security Scotland to report any change of circumstances.

If you’ve been paid too much

You might have to repay the money if you:

• did not report a change straight away
• gave incorrect information
• were overpaid by mistake
