It also makes sure unsuitable people do not work with vulnerable groups, including children.
Disclosure Scotland's application service will be unavailable from 1pm on Thursday 27 March to Tuesday 1 April. You can still access disclosures during this time.
The Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will change the disclosure system in Scotland.
