Consideration for listing

If Disclosure Scotland receives information about you that might mean you’re unsuitable to carry out regulated roles, they do an assessment to decide whether to list you.

This is called a consideration for listing assessment.

Disclosure Scotland may receive:

  • information about a conviction or other relevant information from the police
  • information about a conviction from the Scottish Court Service
  • a referral from your past employer or regulatory body
  • a referral from a local authority or integration joint board
  • a referral from the police
