Who else to tell about the move
Scottish Adult Disability Living Allowance (Scottish Adult DLA) affects other benefits in the same way as DLA.
If you do not get other benefits, you do not need to do anything.
If you get Universal Credit
You need to tell Universal Credit about the move. This will make sure that you stay in payment.
To update your Universal Credit account, either:
- sign in to your Universal Credit account
- call the Universal Credit helpline on 0800 328 5644
If you get other benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
The move from DLA to Scottish Adult DLA should not affect other benefits you may get from DWP including:
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Carer’s Allowance
- Income Support
- Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Pension Credit
If you get any of these benefits, you do not need to tell DWP that your DLA is moving to Scottish Adult DLA.
