Everyone has mental and emotional health. Events and experiences in your life can have a positive and negative affect on them.
If you're having a mental or emotional health problem, contact your doctor. If you feel you need additional support, you can:
- ask your doctor for a longer appointment
- take a family member or friend with you
Out of hours help
If you're having mental or emotional health problems outside your doctor's regular hours, you can:
- call NHS24 on 111 or go to the NHS 24 website
- call Breathing Space on 0800 83 85 87 or go to the Breathing Space website
You can contact NHS 24 or Breathing Space about your mental or emotional health. For example low moods, depression or anxiety.
If you have a problem with your mental health such as depression, schizophrenia or anxiety you can get support with money, work and day-to-day life.
