Find an umbrella body
If you're an employer you do not have to be registered with Disclosure Scotland to use their disclosure service. You can use another organisation to make PVG scheme applications on your behalf. These are known as umbrella bodies.
You can check a list of umbrella bodies below. Disclosure Scotland is not responsible for information provided by umbrella bodies. Including their details here does not mean Disclosure Scotland endorses their services.
If you use an umbrella body, the relationship is between you and the umbrella body, and not directly with Disclosure Scotland. Any organisation using disclosure services, whether they use an umbrella body or not, has to follow the Code of Practice.
Organisations who have employees or volunteers doing a regulated role have a legal duty to report harmful behaviour.
