How to apply for a disclosure offline
The quickest way to apply for a disclosure is online.
If you cannot do it online, you can complete a word form or paper form instead. These take longer, so try to apply online first.
If you use an offline option, you will not be able to view and share your disclosure online. You'll get a paper certificate instead.

Include your name, address details and the type of application form you need.
Information for applicants
Once your application is processed you’ll be sent a paper disclosure certificate. If you want the recruitment process to continue, you must ask Disclosure Scotland to share your disclosure with the organisation you’re applying with. They are not sent a copy automatically.
Do not send the organisation an image or scan of your disclosure.

Information for organisations
You do not automatically get a copy of the disclosure certificate. Once the application is processed, a paper disclosure certificate is sent to the applicant.
The applicant must then ask Disclosure Scotland to share a copy of their disclosure with you. You will only get a copy once they have given Disclosure Scotland consent to share it.
