You can support your community to prepare for emergencies (for example flooding or severe winter weather) by making preparations and using the skills and knowledge that the community has. This is called 'community emergency planning'.
The Ready Scotland website has information about:
- how to set up a community plan (with templates)
- locations of communities with existing emergency plans
Having a Community Emergency Plan does not mean you replace the emergency services. Do not do anything that puts you or anyone else in your community at risk.
For more information visit the Ready Scotland website.
