After the verdict

If the offender is given a custodial sentence of more than 18 months, you'll generally be entitled to register with the Victim Notification Scheme.

If you register with the scheme, you'll receive information about the offender including the date of their release.

Where you're eligible and have expressed a desire to do so, you'll be able to make representations to the Parole Board for Scotland when the offender is considered for release.
