Complain about a care service

The Care Inspectorate regulates and inspects all care services in Scotland to make sure they meet the right standards. It also works with care providers to help them improve their service and make sure everyone gets safe, high-quality care that meets their needs.

You can make a complaint to the Care Inspectorate if you've had a problem with a care service. You do not need to have made a complaint directly to the care service before contacting the Care Inspectorate. Register your complaint:

You do not need to give your name when making a complaint and the Care Inspectorate will not pass your details to the care service without your permission. It's important to provide a contact telephone number so someone can contact you to talk about your complaint.
