If a builder is doing the work for you

It's the builder's responsibility to meet the Scottish Building Standards. However, it's your responsibility as a home owner to make sure they do.

Before a builder starts any building work, it's best to confirm with them that it will meet Scottish Building Standards, and that a Building Warrant has been obtained if it's needed.
