Apply for a post-mortem

If you're unsure of what caused the death abroad (for example, the medical certificate doesn't make this clear) you may be able to apply for a post-mortem.

To apply, download the assistance with post-mortem examinations form and email it to his.dcrs@nhs.scot.

You can also post them (using recorded delivery) to:
