Complain about a social landlord or housing association
If you’re not happy with your social landlord and the service they're providing, there are steps you can take.
You can make an official complaint about your social landlord. Visit Shelter Scotland’s website for advice on:
- making a complaint if you rent from the council
- making a complaint if you rent from a housing association
Visit the Scottish Housing Regulator website for more information on:
- asking your social landlord for their complaints policy
- the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman
- identifying significant performance failures
- whistleblowing about a social landlord
