If you cannot afford to top up your prepayment meter

There is different support available if you cannot afford to top up your prepayment meter. 

You could get:

• emergency or friendly hours credit – a small amount of money to help you get heating and electricity
• a fuel voucher – by text, email or post 
• an energy grant  – from energy suppliers or the Scottish Welfare Fund
