Employment support for the Armed Forces community

If you're thinking about leaving the armed forces, or have already left, you can get help to find a job.

You can use the usual job search methods.

Modern apprenticeships are a way to learn on the job, get the experience you need, and work towards a qualification.

The My World of Work website has information for armed forces leavers and veterans.

There are also several charities that help veterans get new skills and training.

No One Left Behind

No One Left Behind can help you prepare for employment, training, education or volunteering.

You will:

  • get support from an Employability Key Worker
  • work on an individual plan to help you reach your goals

Visit the Employability In Scotland Website for more information.

Career Transition Partnership

The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) offers resettlement training courses that are tailored to service leavers.

Contact the CTP team for more information on courses or to find out who your regional contact is.

Other support

You can get help and advice with things like jobs or money from groups who support people who've left the armed forces.
