Support after you've adopted a child

Speak to your local council if you need support. They must check if you can get support if you ask for it, even if you did not adopt your child through them. The help you can get will depend on your circumstances.

You can speak to the adoption agency that you applied through for more information about the support they offer.

You can also get information and advice from Adoption UK Scotland and Parent Club.

Adoption UK Scotland is a charity offering advice, support and information to families who want to adopt or have already adopted.
