How you're paid

If your application to the Transition Fund is successful, you'll be asked how you want to be paid.

You can get the money sent to:

  • you
  • a relative
  • a guardian
  • someone who manages your benefits or makes decisions for you (someone you’ve given power of attorney to)
  • a financial management agency

Money cannot be paid directly to the providers of the equipment or activities you want to buy.

You can get your money:

  • all at once
  • spread over 12 months
  • in a way that suits your needs

You'll need to keep the receipts for the equipment or activities you buy with the money.
