Getting advice about the Home Owners Support Fund
Before you can apply, you must get money advice from an accredited money adviser.
They'll tell you if the fund is suitable for your circumstances. If it is, they will apply for you.
If you apply without an accredited money adviser, your application will not be accepted.

You can get advice from:
- a money adviser at your local Citizens Advice Bureau
- your local council’s debt advice service

Going to an appointment with a money adviser
It helps to bring the following:
- identification – your photographic ID must be in date
- payslips
- bank statements
- mortgage statements
- evidence of Universal Credit payments or benefits
- utility bills, like gas, electricity or council tax
- evidence of other household expenditure
- copies of any credit agreements you have
- any other details you have about your debts
Any letters you take must be dated within the last 3 months.
