Last updated: 11 November 2019

Overview

If you're renting a council, housing association or housing co-op home, there are some situations that might lead to you being evicted.

The Scottish Government has passed an emergency law to protect renters in Scotland during coronavirus. Find out more about renting and your rights during coronavirus if you have a social landlord.

If you're evicted, this means you have to move out of the home and find somewhere else to live.

You have to be given a notice period before you're evicted, so you have time to prepare.
