Use this service to create a notice to leave for a subtenant with a private residential tenancy.
A subtenant is someone who sublets from your tenant.
When to use this notice to leave
You need to create this notice if:
- your tenant sublets to a subtenant
- you've sent your tenant a notice to leave
- you also want the subtenant to move out
You must send the subtenant the notice as part of the process for ending a private residential tenancy.
The process is different if they have a different type of tenancy. Check the rules for ending different tenancy types.
What you’ll need
To create this notice, you’ll need the following information:
- your name
- the subtenant’s name
- the property’s address
- the reasons you want to end the tenancy, called the ‘eviction grounds’
- the end of the notice period – the date the subtenant must move out by
