Speakers from across the UK and Ireland are invited to present at the 2017 Cleantech Innovate Showcases in Glasgow and London, in order to be in with the chance of winning a €20,000 cash prize on the day.
A cash prize of €20,000 will be awarded to one presenter at each of the Glasgow and London showcases, to be decided on the day.
There is a fee of £125+VAT (£150) to present at the showcases. This fee includes a day of presentation training before the event, a recorded video of the presentation, lunch and drinks throughout the day, and entry to a networking drinks reception.
There is no charge to apply in the first instance, with presenting fees only becoming payable once candidates have been chosen by the selection committee.
This event is organised by We Are Orchard, which is the UK's green industry business network. This network builds connections between individuals and companies that are working within the low carbon sector, providing vital links to investment, business support and industry expertise.
Cleantech is one of the UK’s fastest growing industries, and is an area of the economy which is expected to maintain positive growth rates in the future. The sector is currently valued in the region of £120 billion, and employs almost one million people.
ecoConnect are looking for applications to present at the 2017 showcases in Glasgow and London from researchers and entrepreneurs, to talk about the green technologies they are involved in. 36 finalists will be chosen for the London showcase, and 25 for Glasgow. One winner will be selected at each showcase to receive a cash prize of €20,000.
Topics discussed at previous events include intelligent systems and building design, renewables, natural resource management and energy efficiency, and low carbon transport. Presentations will last for five minutes each, followed by a Q&A session.
The headline sponsors of the 2017 events will include Zero Waste Scotland, Innovate UK and the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

Applications to present are invited from the following UK and Ireland applicants:
- Corporate research and development.
- University and Science Park research and development and spin-outs.
- Entrepreneurs with privately developed technologies.
Applications are welcome from companies in the UK and Republic of Ireland, however the Scottish showcase is open to companies in Scotland only. Presenters can be from early stage companies through to more established ones.

Interested parties should complete the online Presenters Application Form before submitting it for consideration. Submissions will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. All entrants will be evaluated according to a scoring matrix that is based upon the four following criteria:
- Long-term vision
- Commercial viability
The selection committee will meet 1 February 2017 and the finalists will be announced 9 February 2017. The early bird discount will end 13 February 2017 and the Finalists Presentation Training Day will take place 27 February 2017. Delegate registration will close 25 April 2017. The Cleantech Innovate London 2016 Showcase will take place 27 April 2017 between the hours of 10:00am and 20:00pm.
