Apply to make changes to a historic building

You need to apply for consent if you want to make changes to a:

  • listed building
  • building in a conservation area
  • scheduled monument
  • Historic Marine Protected Area

These are protected by legislation, which makes sure any changes or improvements made do not ruin their cultural or historical importance.
