Competition designed to stimulate and promote entrepreneurial initiative in the UK by supporting ‘disruptive’ business ideas and providing expertise in market research to help new enterprises start up.
There will be two winning prizes, which will provide critical analysis of the winning project and a tailored online market research survey.
The first prize main winner will receive market research to the value of £1,000 and the second prize winner will receive market research to the value of £500.
Winners will also be entitled to 15% discount on a future market research report commissioned with Marketest within the following 12 months and a 50% discount on every market research report bought for/by the entrepreneurs the winners support.
The Business Start-ups Competition is funded and administered by Marketest, an online market research company. Marketest works with pre-start, start-up entrepreneurs and existing companies that are launching a new product/service.
The Business Start-ups Competition aims to stimulate and promote entrepreneurial initiative in the UK. It helps start-ups and prospective entrepreneurs to:
- develop and test their business idea;
- receive feedback from target markets and potential clients;
- make the transition from the idea to the launching stage; and
- promote their start-up ideas.
The competition challenges interested parties to submit an innovative, ‘disruptive’ business idea.
Although there are no specific exclusions cited, those wishing to apply are advised to liaise with the sponsor in the first instance to discuss eligibility.
Prospective entrepreneurs in the UK who are aged 18 and over and those in the initial stages of starting up a new business may enter the competition.
Match funding is not a stipulated requirement of this programme.
The support is to be used towards market research for the winning entrants.
