Writing an export plan

If you're planning to export goods, your business will need to create an export plan.

An export plan will normally include information about:

  • your business, for example a company overview
  • your market research
  • financial forecasts
  • risks, for example changes to regulations or problems with distribution
  • networking opportunities, trade introductions and contacts
  • your market entry strategy
  • your distribution strategy
  • your marketing and PR plan
