If your application is successful
The money you receive through the fund is a grant. This means you do not have to pay it back.
You can ask for feedback if you do not get funding.
If you get funding, you’ll need to follow certain rules during and after your housing project.
During the project
You’ll need to provide progress reports on how the project is going. If you get funding, your grant agreement will set out how often to send progress reports.
You may have a site visit at any point of the project. If you do not meet the terms and conditions of the grant, you'll need to repay the money.
After the project
Once you finish the homes, there'll be an assessment to check if you have:
- completed the project
- created the agreed standard of housing
- met the conditions of the grant
You'll send a 'Project Completion Return Form' to rhf@gov.scot. You must submit the form within 28 days of renting or selling the last property.
You'll need to report how you spent the funding and what you achieved. You must account for everything you've spent money on.
If you cannot make or continue to keep the homes affordable, you must repay the full grant.
