How to request Carer Additional Person Payment

You might be able to backdate your Carer Additional Person Payment by more than 13 weeks. To do this you need to call Social Security Scotland for free on 0800 182 2222.

You can still tell Social Security Scotland about any additional people you care for online or by paper, but you will only be able to backdate your award by up to 13 weeks. This means you might not get all the money you are entitled to.
