Get help to find work or increase your earnings as a parent

The Parental Employability Support Fund (PESF) supports parents to get a job or to increase their income if they’re already in work.

An Employability Lead from your local council will agree a plan of action with you and give you support. This can include support to:

  • upskill or retrain
  • find a job
  • tell you about other services who can help you

Your local council will deliver the Parental Employability Support Fund. You can contact them for more information about eligibility and how to apply.

Find contact details for your local council on the Employability in Scotland website.

You may be eligible for help with childcare. This could include:

  • Funded Early Learning and Childcare
