How Social Security Scotland will use your answers
The answers to this survey will let Social Security Scotland know about peoples’ experiences of their services and benefits. That will tell Social Security Scotland:
- what they’re doing well
- where they can improve
Social Security Scotland will analyse the survey results. They’ll produce a report in autumn 2022. This report will be available on the Social Security Scotland website.
Social Security Scotland will keep your answers confidential. No one involved in making benefit decisions now or in the future will:
- know if you have taken part
- have access to your individual answers
Taking part in the survey will not affect any of your applications or benefits
How Social Security Scotland uses your data
Social Security Scotland hold information for everyone who has:
- applied for a benefit
- received a benefit
This information includes a person’s:
- name
- address
- contact details

How to stop getting surveys in the future
If you do not want to get more surveys from Social Security Scotland, phone the free helpline on 0800 029 4974. If you apply for other benefits in the future, you may get invites to surveys again.
