Read review reports on school closures

When a local authority decides to close down a school, it has to meet certain requirements to do this. Scottish Ministers will review whether these requirements have been met.

See the cases that have been submitted to the Scottish Ministers for review on gov.scot.

If the Scottish Ministers have concerns, they pass the case to the independent School Closure Review Panels (SCRP). The panels investigate the closure and check to see if it was carried out properly.

Visit the School Closure Review Panels website to read the SCRP's reports on these investigations, and any decisions made.
