Apply for a Royal Anniversary Message
You can apply for a wedding anniversary message of congratulatrions from the King.
This can be for a:
- 60th anniversary
- 65th anniversary
- 70th anniversary or higher
A message can be sent for every anniversary after a 70th anniversary.
To apply for an anniversary message, contact National Records of Scotland. They can process the application as long as:
- the wedding took place in Scotland
- the couple still lives in the UK
- there are less than three weeks until the anniversary

Birthday messages
Messages from the King are also automatically sent on somebody’s:
- 100th birthday
- 105th birthday
You do not need to apply for these.
