NHS Ayrshire and Arran is one of 14 NHS Boards in Scotland. The organisation serves a population of more than 366,000 and currently employs around 11,000 staff.
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is dedicated to helping their population stay healthy and providing safe, effective, and person-centred care. Their purpose is “Working together to achieve the healthiest life possible for everyone in Ayrshire and Arran.”
Caring for Ayrshire
The “Caring for Ayrshire” vision is that care shall be delivered as close to home as possible, supported by a network of community services with safe, effective and timely access to high quality specialist services for those whose needs cannot be met in the community.
NHS Ayrshire and Arran want to work in partnership with communities to continue to explore new and innovative ways of designing and delivering health and care services. Caring for Ayrshire is led by Ayrshire and Arran NHS Board and the three Ayrshire Integration Joint Boards.
