If you do not record a decision

If you die in a way donation is possible and you've not recorded a decision then medical staff will ask your family your latest views. This is to make sure donation does not go ahead if you're against it.

If you do not record a decision you should tell your family your wishes.

Recording your decision in a will

You should not rely on your will to say if you want be a donor or not. Donation has to take place very soon after death before a will is usually read.
