Grant closures and application deadlines
If you applied and have not yet heard anything
Your application will still be processed. Your local council will contact you. They may ask you for more information and give you a date to reply by. If they do, you must return the information by that date or they will assume you have withdrawn your application.
If you've applied, but the local council have asked for further information
If your local council has already asked you for more information, you must send it to them before 5pm on Friday 31 July 2020. If you do not send the information by this date, they will assume you have withdrawn your application.
If you applied, but were told you're not eligible
If you applied, but were turned down, you can ask your local council for a review. You must do this before 5pm on Friday 31 July 2020, otherwise your case will not be reviewed.
If you applied, but are waiting for an assessor visit
Your local council may have needed an assessor to make a site visit, for example to decide if the premises should be included in the Non-Domestic Rates Valuation Roll. The council may delay the decision on your application until the assessor can visit your site. In such cases, your local council will try to process your application using other evidence to make their decision. They will contact you if they still need an assessor to visit.
