£350 'thank you' payment

You can get a payment of £350 per month. Local councils will the make these payments.

This is to help cover things like an increase in energy bills. You can get the payment each month you host for up to 12 months.

You can only get one payment for any residential address – no matter many people you host.

The council will end the payment when you stop being a host.
