Support for the next generation of short filmmakers in the UK or anywhere in the world, targeted at those aged 16-25. The scheme may enable participants to be considered for inclusion in the tenth BFI Future Film Festival.
Winners will receive:
- £750 cash prize

- Free Pass to BFI Future Film Festival
- Their short screened at BFI Future Film Festival
This programme is administered by Hiive with support from the British Film Institute (BFI). Hiive is a professional networking site. It’s a digital community of collaborators from the creative industries all across the UK. Hiive allows professionals, employers and educators to tap into the UK’s collective industry insight.
Although there are no specific exclusions cited within the programme guidelines, those wishing to apply are advised to liaise with the funding provider in the first instance to discuss eligibility.

The director, producer and the majority of the production crew should be aged 25 or under at the time the film was made. For the avoidance of doubt this does not include the actors who can be of any age.
Match funding is not a stipulated requirement of this programme.
