Who can apply for free bus travel

You can get free bus travel if you're seeking asylum in Scotland by applying for a National Entitlement Card (NEC).

Free bus travel for people seeking asylum is available until 31 March 2026 or until funding runs out.

If you're under 22, over 60 or disabled

You can also apply for free bus travel if you're under 22, over 60 or if you're disabled. You can apply for:

• an under 22's bus pass
• an older person's bus pass
• a disabled person's bus pass
