The Four Points Film Project is the sister project of the 48 Hour Project. Filmmakers from all over the world will compete to make the best short film in three days. It is an online contest which follows the same basic idea of the 48 Hour Film Project - to write, produce, and edit a short film in just a weekend using an assigned genre and three elements which are announced via email at the start of the weekend.
The team has 77 hours to write, shoot, edit, score and submit their short film. Applicants will be assigned two random genres and they must shoot their film using either, or both, of the genres. Each time zone will be assigned its own set of elements - character, prop and line of dialogue. All films will be submitted online and instructions will be provided to each team upon registration.
Although there are no restrictions stipulated in the scheme guidance, applicants are advised to contact the funding provider directly to discuss eligibility.
Filmmakers from all over the world can apply, from novices to professionals.
