There are many organisations that offer support to girls and women who have been affected by FGM. Many of the organisations provide help, support and advice on things like:

  • mental health
  • safe accommodation
  • emotional support
  • financial help
  • finding work and education
  • health and childcare
  • visas

Provides counselling, befriending and advice services to help Muslim women live better and safer lives, free from discrimination and abuse.

The Scottish government has created easy use resources for that explain the effects of FGM, how health services can help, the law in Scotland, and organisations that cna provide help and support.
