Grant funding is available towards part of the cost of contracting or employing an export manager for up to 12 months.

Export Manager Scheme (Scotland) is delivered by Scottish Development International (SDI), the international arm of Scotland’s enterprise agencies.
The aim of the scheme is to provide funding for an export manager who will support the delivery of a company's export and international trade strategy.
Recruitment costs are ineligible.
Assistance is available to any company registered in Scotland.
An eligible company should be able to demonstrate that any proposed project could generate significant international sales growth.
Eligible costs are those that support the employment of an export business manager with the skills and experience that best suit a company’s specific requirements for up to 12 months.
Examples of possible activities an export manager could help with include the following:
- Research into product customisation and distribution channels.
- Setting up international systems/processes to deal with international orders.
- Market entry requirements.
- Targeting new market opportunities.
