Who can apply

You can apply for the Dental Student Support Grant if you:

• study the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at the University of Aberdeen, Dundee or Glasgow 
• have an annual household income of less than £34,000 per year
• are allowed to live and work in Scotland after graduation

You can apply even if you are doing the BDS as a second degree.

Who cannot apply

You cannot apply for the grant if:

• you plan to specialise in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery after graduation – this is a medical speciality, not dental
• you complete an intercalated degree during the BDS – this is when you take a year out of your dental degree to study for an additional degree
