Support is available for collaborative artistic and creative projects that bring together arts organisations and artists from Asia and Europe.
Up to a maximum of approximately €14,000 (25,000 Singapore Dollars) per project is available for up to 50% of the total project budget.
Creative Encounters is provided and managed by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), and its partners Arts Network Asia (ANA) and the European network Trans Europe Halles (TEH).
This joint initiative aims to:
- Reinforce Asia-Europe exchanges that encourage creative collaborations.
- Enhance the mobility of artists and cultural professionals.
- Deepen mutual understanding between the cultural communities in the two regions.
Organisations are encouraged to submit multilateral projects that engage several partners and participants from the 51 member countries of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) and that reflect the diversity of the two regions.
The contribution will not include seed funding or cover operational costs.
Projects should be jointly proposed by a minimum of two partner organisations from ASEM countries, with at least one partner each from Asia and Europe.
Applications with multiple project partners are welcomed.
Match funding of at least 50% is required. Additional funding sources must be identified and mentioned in the submitted proposal.
Projects should include result-oriented activities that facilitate collaborations, co-productions, exchanges and dialogues between artists and cultural professionals from Asia and Europe and should focus on the Call theme.

Information should be submitted in English on the application form provided and should include information on the concept and objectives of the project as well as the partners.
Proposals must be submitted through ANA's website - no email submissions will be considered.
