Create a tenancy agreement

Use this service to create a private residential tenancy agreement to give a tenant.

You'll usually need to create this type of tenancy agreement when setting up a new tenancy as a private landlord.

What you’ll need

To create the tenancy agreement, you’ll need the following information:

  • your name
  • the tenant's name
  • the property’s address
  • the tenancy start date
  • the rent amount
  • how often the tenant will pay rent
  • any deposit amount
  • the name of the tenancy deposit scheme you’re using
  • your letting agent’s name, address and registration number, if you’re using one
