This award scheme celebrates the achievements of public, private and voluntary sector professionals in the United Kingdom working across the range of youth and children's services.
The scheme provides personal recognition and professional accolades for the outstanding work done in this field. In addition, it provides the opportunity to communicate learning and best practice.
Entry to the Awards is free.
The Children & Young People Now Awards are organised by Children & Young People Now, in association with the Children's Workforce Development Council.
The Awards aim to recognise and celebrate the innovative and inspiring initiatives taking place across the UK by professionals who are working to improve the life chances of children and young people, and their families.
The Awards are also a way to communicate some of the learning and best practice from projects at the forefront of developing new ways of working, and are an opportunity to raise the profile of the sector to elected members of local councils, government, political and funding supporters and the general public.
Sponsor organisations are not allowed to enter the category they have agreed to sponsor.
Any organisation, setting or individual project anywhere in the UK can enter relevant work, whether public, voluntary or private sector. This includes projects delivered by a partnership of organisations. Where appropriate, entries may be made by individuals.
Details of future rounds will be reported as they become available.
Entrants should complete an official entry form available from the above website. In addition to the information requested on the entry form, each entry must be accompanied by a submission that briefly describes the work being entered, what the task or challenge was, what was done, how it was done, and what the results or outcomes were.
Supporting material such as evaluations, inspection reports, testimonials or press cuttings may be included with the entry.
