The BusinessGreen Technology Awards offer the UK's clean tech community the opportunity to celebrate the products and technologies that aim to transform the green economy.
Awards will be presented to the winners of each category.
The awards ceremony will bring together the best and the brightest from across the clean tech community, providing a unique platform to promote some of the country's most exciting green technologies.
The BusinessGreen Technology Awards will celebrate the best of the UK’s pioneering clean tech sector, offering a platform to promote the green technologies and products that promise to transform the global economy.
Open to businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, research programmes, and inventors the awards will highlight how this inspiring and innovative sector is delivering the cutting-edge clean technologies that make a sustainable economy possible.
"Political and business leaders of all shades, from climate 'lukewarmers' and oil barons to eco-warriors and multinational CEOs are united in agreeing climate change and other environmental crises can only be tackled through the emergence of ever more compelling clean technologies," said BusinessGreen editor James Murray. "But all too often clean tech developments lack the profile of similar breakthroughs in the pharmaceutical, IT, and transport sectors. The BusinessGreen Technology Awards aims to help put that right."
The categories cover every facet of the clean tech sector, including App of the Year, Building Technology of the Year, Solar Innovation of the Year, Smart City Technology of the Year, and Breakthrough of the Year. The winners and highly commended entries will be selected by an expert panel of independent judges, while a special Consumer Gadget of the Year award will be voted for by BusinessGreen readers.
The awards will complement the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards, which celebrate the best in green business innovation and sustainability initiatives, and are now firmly established as the UK's largest and most prestigious green business awards.
