After you submit your appeal
There are several possible outcomes from your appeal, including:
- the assessor will check the appeal is valid and inform you if they consider that it isn't
- the assessor will contact you if you've given information about a physical change to the property, a change in how the property is used or an exemption
- the assessor will give you the date for when your appeal will be heard by an independent valuation appeal committee
After you discuss your case with the local assessor, they may agree to a change. If you can't agree, the Valuation Appeal Committee will consider your appeal in a public hearing. The Valuation Appeal Committee will not charge for this service.
