Funeral directors have experience organising different types of funeral and can suggest ideas for you to consider. They'll deal with the cemetery or crematorium for you so you won't have to.

These organisations have codes of practice – members must give you an estimate of funeral costs when asked. This should include a breakdown of the costs for the services you ask for.

You may want to talk to more than one funeral director so you can compare prices. There are also price comparison websites available.
