Before You Start

The Adobe Youth Voices Aspire Awards are sponsored by the Adobe Foundation with the support of numerous partners including MTV Act, Dell, Samsung, Cisco, Seattle International Film Festival and Digital Arts.

Launched in June 2006, Adobe Youth Voices is the Adobe Foundation's global philanthropy programme. It is designed to provide youth in underserved communities with the critical skills needed to become active and engaged members of their communities and the world at large. The Foundation invests in the programme through training, educational resources, and grants. The programme also leverages software donations and employee volunteers from Adobe Systems.

Adobe Youth Voices has been set up to empower young peoples and those educating them through media, making experiences that promote social change. The international Adobe Youth Voices Aspire Awards celebrate the work of young media artists from around the world by recognising talent in media production.

The competition recognises projects that best illustrate the programme’s ‘Create with Purpose’ philosophy. Winning submissions are original, high-quality youth-produced multimedia created to address critical issues and effect positive change.

The winners will demonstrate the imagination, talent and skill of young people in and out of school, from across the world, using media to communicate their ideas, exhibit their potential, and take action in their communities.
