Start-up businesses in Scotland may apply for a limited space on this 20 Week Business Accelerator Programme that will take place in Rosyth, Fife.
Successful applicants will receive the following benefits:
- Office space that will encourage collaboration and networking.
- Weekly seminars that will develop and challenge participants.
- A mentor who will provide accountability.
The programme runs for a period of 20 weeks. However, the time commitment for participants will be two half-days per week. These two half-days will normally take place on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
Acorn Enterprise, which provides the 20 Week Business Accelerator Programme, aims to grow and develop Scotland's start-up business culture through educating and accelerating start-up businesses.
It is intended that this programme will help to break down the barriers faced by those who are trying to start or grow their business and will provide a supportive environment for likeminded individuals. Participants will gain confidence, business related skills and greater clarity of where they would like to be.
The programme runs twice a year. The first round runs between February to June and the second round runs between September and January. A limited number of new business owners will be selected to take place in the 7th 20 Week Business Accelerator Programme that will run during the period between 7 February 2017 and 30 June 2017 in Rosyth, Fife.

Start-up businesses that are based in Scotland are eligible to apply. Applications are welcome from mainstream businesses as well as those in further and higher education. Usually, around 15 new business owners are admitted during each programme round, ensuring that the experience will be of more value to participants.
Match funding is not applicable to this programme.
As this is a non-financial scheme, eligible expenditure is not applicable.
